It is Thanksgiving which means turkey, family and football and you can always squeeze in a few bets on the games. Here is a quick betting preview of the three Thanksgiving football games.

Bears @ Lions

The line for the Chicago Bears versus the Detroit Lions is heavily Favorited. They are the favorites by seven points. However, the line has not been adjusted since news broke early this morning that Reggie Bush would be out.  It may not matter if the Lions’ ground game takes a hit though, considering the have allowed 25 touchdown passes and allowed opponents to complete 64.5 percent of their passes.

Thanksgiving day games often favor the home team (44-36-1). Home teams favored by 6.5 points or more on Thanksgiving are 16-7 against the spread and 19-4 straight up.

 

The total for this game is set at 46.5 points.

Eagles @ Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are the -3-point favorites in this game. The total is set at 57 points. Dallas is 10-20 against the spread in its last 30 home games. The over is 9-4 in Eagles road games since Chip Kelly took over as head coach.

The Cowboys defense is a big concern right now after allowing the New York Giants to march all over them for two 80-yard drive and one 93-yard scoring drive.

Seahawks @ 49ers

This is the most anticipated game of the day and the latest game in this young, exciting rivalry.

The line is close with the 49ers only favored by one point. The Seahawks, in particular, Russell Wilson is likely dreading going on the road where is not performed to expectations, though the Seahawks are 9-3-1 against the spread in their last 13 games as road underdogs. However, they are 2-6 straight up in their last eight road games against division rivals.

The 49ers are great when playing at home. They are 15-1-1 straight up in their last 17 home games.

The total is set at 40 points. In the Seahawks and 49ers last six meeting the under is 5-1. The under was also hit in five of the last seven road games against division opponents for the Seahawks.
