Superstar quarterback Peyton Manning is possibly heading into his last season in the NFL. Manning may have had a change at head coach with the Denver Broncos parting ways with John Fox in the offseason, but many still believe Manning and company will be a force to be reckoned with next season.

Unfortunately for Manning, veteran gunslinger took a serious hit to his protection upfront on Thursday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, left tackle Ryan Clady will miss the entire 2015 NFL season:

Without Clady, the Broncos offense may struggle during the upcoming season. Manning already showed signs of slowing down last season with Father time finally taking its toll on the 38-year-old. Losing Clady doesn’t help matters with the five-time NFL MVP potentially having even less time in the pocket next season.

Manning, now 39, also lost perhaps his favorite target in the Broncos offense recently with tight end Julius Thomas signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Demaryius Thomas is still on the roster and will likely be the focal point of the passing game, but without Manning’s best endzone threat, the veteran quarterback may not be putting the numbers he’s used to.

Currently, the Broncos have 12/1 odds to win Super Bowl 50, according to Sportsbook.ag. Only two other AFC teams have better odds to win it all in the 2015 NFL season. The Indianapolis Colts sit at 17/2 while the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots currently have odds at 8/1.
