Cubs Vs. Cardinals Series Odds

The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals Game 1 tonight is virtually a toss up but how does the rest of the series look like its going to play out?

The two NL Central rivals faced off 19 times in the regular season with the Cardinals getting the edge 11-8. Overall in the complete series the Cubs are -115 favorites to win the best of five series against the Cardinals who sit at -105.

The Cubs get the edge thanks to finishing the season strong. In fact, the Cubs had the best record in baseball down the closing stretch. Starting Sept. 1 the Cubs went 24-9. Meanwhile, the Cardinals went 15-15 in that same time period. In other words, the Cubs are hot at the right time.

In Game 1, Jon Lester will take the ball for Chicago, while John Lackey will pitch for the Cards. The two pitchers used to play for the Red Sox together and now find themselves on opposite ends of the field. Game 2 and 3 will be started by Jamie Garcia  and Michael Wacha for the Cardinals and Kyle Hendricks and Cy Young favorite Jake Arrieta for Chicago.

The Pitching in all three games of the series posted is pretty even, with both squads trotting their best of the best to the  mound.

Most bettor are favoring the UNDER in game 1 that has a 6.5-point total.

Game 1 of this series kicks off tonight at around 7 p.m. ET.
