Despite struggles, Jerry Jones wants Dez Bryant back

To say that Dez Bryant has not been a great fit for in a Dallas Cowboys offense led by Dak Prescott would be an understatement. This past season saw Bryant catch just 52.4 percent of the balls thrown in his direction.

His struggles since Tony Romo retired have been real, and they have also led to some drama within the organization.

Set to count $16.5 million against the cap next season, there’s been some speculation that the Cowboys might look to either trade or release Bryant. Should the team decide the latter, it would save nearly $9 million against the cap.

In talking about his 29-year-old wide receiver, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seemed to support the idea of Bryant returning to Dallas for the 2018 season.

As the report notes, Jones wouldn’t get into the possibility of Bryant taking a pay cut. It’s also not yet known whether Bryant would even consider that possibility.
