The rumors are swirling around fast and furious leading up to the 2017 NBA Draft with a lot of big-name players potentially on the move. One of those players was thought to be superstar Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls, but that may no longer be the case.

Butler has been a common name on the trading block for the past few months with talk of the perennial All-Star being on his way out in Chicago. The Boston Celtics were seemingly the most interested team, and now it appears to be the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, Butler, even though he doesn’t have a no-trade clause, doesn’t want to leave the Bulls, according to NBA.com’s David Aldridge:

The Cavaliers were dominated in the NBA Finals this year. LeBron James and company really didn’t stand a chance against the revamp Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant taking his game to another level.

That being said, the team has to seriously consider retooling their roster to compete with the NBA champions or the LeBron era in Cleveland could quickly come to an end when he can become a free agent next summer. Adding Butler into the mix in Cleveland would be a step in the right direction as he is one of the best two-way players in the league.

Although Butler would make sense with the Cavaliers, the veteran is either determined to stay in Chicago or isn’t willing to go to Cleveland for what could be only a one-year run at a title playing alongside James and Kyrie Irving.
