NFL Prop Bets: Where Will Robert Griffin III Land Next Season?

The Robert Griffin III era for the Washington Redskins is officially over. Following the loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card last weekend, the Redskins will likely move on with Kirk Cousins as the franchise quarterback leaving Griffin’s future uncertain to say the least.

After packing up his locker, Griffin left a bit of a cryptic letter by Dr. Kent M. Keith behind for all to see via Bob Barnard of Fox 5 TV:

Griffin will probably be cut during the NFL offseason giving him a chance to sign elsewhere. The former first-round draft pick and Heisman Trophy winner may have a few teams reaching out during the process of his free agency with an interesting NFL prop bet surfacing recently on Bovada.lv:

Houston Texans (+300)
Dallas Cowboys (+550)
St. Louis Rams (+650)
New York Jets (+900)
Any Other Team (-200)

All of the teams mentioned may be in the market for a quarterback during the offseason. New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys do have some stability with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tony Romo, but could use a viable backup like Griffin.

The safe bet here may be the Houston Texans with the team in desperate need of some new blood under center. Brian Hoyer isn’t the long-term answer in Houston, and Griffin may embrace the prospect of returning to Texas where he played college football for Baylor.

The St. Louis Rams is also another intriguing option with the team moving to the bright lights of Los Angeles and Nick Foles clearly not the answer for Jeff Fisher’s squad. Although Griffin will need to prove himself in his next NFL destination, there seems to be no shortage of options.
