NHL: Lightning @ Blues

The St. Louis Blues shook up their roster when they traded goalie Ryan Miller and forward Steve Ott. Miller did a good job as he won his debut with the team this past Sunday against the Phoenix Coyotes.  Acquiring Miller looks like it may be a huge get for the Blues.  Miller stopped 23 shots against St. Louis.  The Blues will see how their roster holds tonight against the No. 3 ranked team in the Atlantic.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be finishing off a four-game road trip with this game.  They await the return of Steven Stamkos who may be playing tonight, which would go a long away in helping the Lightning ending their road trip with a big win over the No. 1 ranked (in the Central Division) Blues.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between these two teams.  The Lightening upset the Blues way back in November 4-2.  The Blues have shaking up their roster and will be looking to even up the series.

The Lightning would like to see Stamokos out on the ice tonight, but it looks as though it will not be till Tampa Bay’s next game.  Stamokos broke his leg on Nov. 11.  There has been some questions as to whether or not Stamokos can perform at the 60 points in 61 games like he did last season. Trade rumors have already began to swirl.  We expect the Lightning to give him a chance back on the ice before making a decision.

The Lightning have a 34-22-5 record.  The Blues enjoy the slightly better record going 40-14-6.  Over their last ten games Tampa Bay is 4-6-0, while St. Louis is 6-3-1.

The Blues are the favorites to win this one.  You can watch the game on NBCSN at 8:05 p.m.
