NHL Playoffs: Friday Game 2 Betting Previews

There is a handful of Game 2s today that should prove to be interesting. There are four series’ Game 2s being played today. Of those four series, three of their opening games ended with the road underdogs taking the first W. Let’s check out the odds for Game 2.

Ottawa Senators (1) @ Montreal Canadiens (0)

Montreal are the current favorites with a –140 moneyline to Ottawa’s +120. The total is set at five goals with the UNDER as the favorites with a moneyline at –115.

These two Canadian teams showed just how fierce and dirty this rivalry is in Game 1. The Senators will be without Mark Stone who was slashed on the hand with Montreal’s PK Subban’s stick. Subban received some punishment for the move but will not see suspension. Stone, on the other hand, is out indefinitely with a wrist injury.

Expect this one to be even more fierce.

New York Islanders (1) @ Washington Capitals (0)

New York are still the underdogs in the series, despite their win on Wednesday. They have a moneyline set at +125 to Washington’s –145. The total is set at five goals with the OVER having a –140 moneyline.

The Capitals looked as though they let the underdog Islanders school them in Game 1. The Islanders simply kept the Capitals at bay all through out the game by controlling the temp. The Capitals will need a change in strategy tonight.

Chicago Blackhaws (1) @ Nashville Predators (0)

The line is close in this game. Chicago has a line set at –105, while Nashville sits at –115. The total is set at 5 with the OVER at –130

Game 1 between these two teams went into overtime in a wild contest. The Preds led 3-0 in the first period and blew the lead and took the loss in the extra period.

Calgary Flames (1) @ Vancouver Canucks (0)

Calgary’s line is set at around +135. Vancouver sits at –145. The total is set at 5 with OVER being –125.

Calgary tied the game 1-1 in third period and then scored again with 30 seconds left on the clock to steal one away from Vancouver in Game 1. Calgary’s inclination for late game heroics makes this series and interesting one.
