Despite losing out to the Rams for the opportunity to move to Los Angeles, Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis is still actively pursuing options to move the franchise. With L.A. seemingly out of the questions, at least for the immediate future, it seems his sights are now firmly set on Las Vegas.

Davis in Sin City this week for a second round of meeting with city officials to discuss a stadium proposal currently being batted around. He is reportedly ready to commit to moving the club if the funding is approved.

“Raiders owner Mark Davis will be in Las Vegas Thursday when the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee (SNTIC) meets to discuss plans to build a 65,000-seat stadium near the Las Vegas strip, and according to sources, Davis will offer a commitment to pursue a Raiders relocation there if financing for the $1.3 billion project is approved,” Vincent Bonsignore of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.”

Despite the NFL’s hypocritical stand against sports betting, the league has already said that the close proximity to so many casinos wouldn’t be an automatic disqualifier. Should the stadium funding be secured, the Raiders relocation would require 24 of the 32 owners to approve the move.
