Titans host Colts in AFC South Clash on MNF

The curtain comes down on Week 6 of the NFL regular season with Monday Night Football when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Tennessee Titans in an AFC South showdown. The current line has Tennessee favored by 7.5 points with the over/under point total on 48.

Entering this game, Indianapolis on the season is 2-3 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Colts are 0-2 SU and ATS. Tennessee on the season is 2-3 SU and ATS. At home, the Titans are 1-1 SU and ATS.

Last week Tennessee played and lost without its starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, while Indianapolis has played each game this season without its starter under center Andrew Luck.

Mariota is expected to return for Monday’s game as the Titans look to snap a losing streak of 11 straight games against Indianapolis. Last weekend without Mariota under center the Titans gained only 188 yards of total offense in their loss of 16-10 to Miami.

The Colts have seen more output on offense since Jacoby Brissett has become accustomed to the offense after the quarterback was acquired by the Colts the first week of the season from New England.

Last week Brissett threw for 314 yards, which is his career high, and scored a rushing touchdown in the Colts 26-23 win over the 49ers.

T.Y. Hilton caught 7 passes for 177 yards against San Francisco last week for the Colts. Last October, Hilton caught 7 passes for 133 yards against the Titans in the Colts comeback victory at Tennessee.

Tennessee’s rushing attack has not been up to par with DeMarco Murray gaining only 89 yards combined the past two games, including just 69 yards on the ground last week against Miami.

However, the Colts give up an NFL-worst 31.8 points a game, so Tennessee will look to put up big numbers on the score board. Rishard Matthews leads the Titans in receptions at home with 20 for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Adam Vinatieri kicked four field goals for the Colts last week.

Tennessee rookie wide receiver Corey Davis will not play due to a hamstring injury.

Indianapolis is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 games on the road versus a team that has a record below .500.

Tennessee is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games played on Monday Night Football.

Prediction: Tennessee with Mariota back under center will prevail. Lean toward the Titans.
